"Kardinal" is a tactical game by Wolfgang Panning, published by "Holzinsel"

10 years ago I had the chance to play this table game in a public library, but wasn't able to buy it since. (company stopped production)
So I locked myself in the workshop for a few days and interpreted the Blocks myself.

Instead of painting the different buildings, I decided to design them out of different woods and different shapes to distinguish between the different players.

Regular firewood from my garden (birch, maple, cherry), as well as some pieces of an old christmas tree were the materials I started with. Using just a regular saw and a lot of sanding paper the blocks transformed to their final shape.

A bit of lumber jack oil replaced a paint job.
